Canvas Prints - All canvas prints will have 1.25-inch deep edges that are printed with a color that complements the painting, so that no framing is necessary. If desired, a .55-inch floater frame of black, natural oak, or walnut can be selected. All canvas prints come with hanging hardware.
Paper Prints - If you are planning to have your print professionally framed, a paper print is ideal. Your print will come as a full-bleed printed all the way to the edge of the paper to accommodate both traditional and more modern framing modes.
Foam-mounted Paper Prints - Foam-mounted prints are rigid enough to hang directly on the wall with adhesive-type hanging hardward without framing. The image will be printed full-bleed to the edge of the paper. These versatile prints can also be framed traditionally or can be used in a simple floater frame.
Floater Frame Recommendation - Both DickBlick.com and JerrysArtarama.com have a variety of affordable frames. My favorite frame is a simple thin wood floater frame that outlines the print without impinging on the image. Both stores carry such a frame style called the Ampersand Floater Frames, which comes in many of the sizes on this website. I prefer the 1/4-inch thin profile, but it also comes in bold. There is a rabbet depth (space inside the frame that accommodates the thickness of your artwork) of either 7/8-inch (right choice for foam-mounted prints) or 1 1/2-inch (right choice for our canvas prints). These are easy do-it-yourself frames that accentuate the beauty of your artwork. They come with all hardware needed to fit and hang your print in its new home.
